DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JINNAH AND GANDHI?

Mohammed Ali Jinnah and Mahatma Gandhi were two influential figures in the Indian independence movement. However, they had different ideologies and approaches to achieving independence from British rule.

Some key differences between Jinnah and Gandhi include:

  1. Ideology: Jinnah was a Muslim nationalist and a member of the All India Muslim League, while Gandhi was a Hindu nationalist and a member of the Indian National Congress. Jinnah believed that Hindus and Muslims were separate nations and that India should be divided into two separate countries – one for Hindus and one for Muslims. Gandhi, on the other hand, believed in the idea of a united India and sought to bring Hindus and Muslims together.

  2. Approach to independence: Jinnah favored a more confrontational approach to achieving independence, while Gandhi believed in non-violent resistance. Jinnah was instrumental in the demand for the creation of Pakistan, which was eventually created in 1947 following the partition of India. Gandhi, on the other hand, was a strong advocate for non-violent resistance and civil disobedience and played a key role in India's independence through the Indian independence movement.

  3. Legacy: Jinnah is revered as the "Father of Pakistan" and is considered one of the most important figures in the history of Pakistan. Gandhi, on the other hand, is revered as the "Father of the Nation" in India and is considered one of the most important figures in the history of India. Both Jinnah and Gandhi have had a lasting impact on their respective countries and continue to be remembered and honored for their contributions to the independence movements of India and Pakistan.
