HOW GERMANY INVDE RUSSIA

HOW GERMANY INVDE RUSSIA

Germany invaded Russia during World War II as part of Operation Barbarossa, which began on June 22, 1941. The German army, under the command of Adolf Hitler, aimed to quickly defeat the Soviet Union and secure the resources of the Eastern front. Despite initial successes, the invasion ultimately proved to be a major setback for Germany, as the harsh Russian winter and the vastness of the Soviet territory proved to be formidable obstacles. The German army was ultimately defeated by the Soviet Union in the Battle of Stalingrad, which is considered to be one of the turning points of the war.
